When Kyle and Jovana asked me to do their family portraits, they originally wanted it inside, next to the Christmas tree. I love Christmas trees as much as the next person, but the real live version is so much better! As a natural light photographer, I take every opportunity to shoot portraits outdoors, and so I was thrilled when they agreed to do a portion of their portrait time outside.

It was just about the perfect day for it; not too cold, and plenty of fresh snow! We brought their airedale terrier Freya along for the fun, and she had a great time ripping around while we got some gorgeous photos. You might remember Jovana from her maternity shoot a year and a half ago, or Sully from his newborn photos. This time we get to see proud dad Kyle, and it was so nice to photograph all four of them!
