I met Katina and Justin around this time last year while photographing the wedding of their friends Megan and Jonathan. That wedding was a blast (and my first ATV wedding experience!) and so when Katina and Justin contacted me to capture their Ottawa Valley wedding next June I was pretty excited by the prospect! They decided to do their engagement photos out at a family farm that sits prettily between Eganville and Golden Lake. We’ve had a warm fall up to this point so the leaves were perfect… but rain was threatening for days leading up to the session, and I drove through a mini monsoon getting to the location. Thankfully it cleared up as soon as I got there. There was even a fantastic glowy sunset on the river, complete with romantic mist over the water.

These two had a family team following them around the property who were such a big help! They even managed to bring Katina and Justin’s adorable golden retriever, Murphy, out for a few minutes so we could get pictures of all three of them. Since being lucky enough to have a furry family member of my own now, I love it when pets can be part of engagement pictures!

Katina and Justin, thank you for a great afternoon at the farm. I hope you love the images as much as I do, and have fun with the rest of the wedding planning!
