A few weeks back I had the pleasure of trekking it out to St. Eugene (which must be most of the way to Montreal, from those of you from Ottawa) for Krissy and Scott’s engagement photos! It wasn’t my first time at the LeRoy family farm; I photographed Krissy’s older sister’s wedding there last summer. Back then I drove through a monsoon, and for this engagement session we had snow! It was a perfect Canadian rustic winter engagement session.
Krissy and Scott have got to be one of the friendliest couples I’ve met. They are so easy to be around, and they look so comfortable together! I always help my couples with posing (most of us don’t model professionally, after all), and these two just settled right into each other and were so natural. Let me tell you, that’s not easy to do when you’re freezing your butt off!
We started in the barn and even went up into the hayloft where I probably had too much fun jumping around in the hay, while combatting my fear of heights. The rest of the session was done outside on family land.
Krissy and Scott, thank you for being such great hosts! I hope you love the images as much as I do.
It was at this point that I was thankful to be on the ground. These two were HIGH UP. Krissy grew up here and Scott is a farmer as well, so I’m guessing these two have done this before!
How adorable was this setup to announce their wedding date? Scott didn’t even blink a eye when Krissy started setting everything up.
Ack, I just LOVE this one!! I feel like it should be on a watch ad or something.
It doesn’t get more Canadian than that! Next time I see these two it will be almost Fall and hopefully not so cold for them!
