This past Saturday Patricia and Kris finally had their classic winter wedding at Brookstreet Hotel in Ottawa. We had a lot of rain earlier in the week (including freezing rain)! It made it a little challenging to get around, but overall it was perfect weather for a winter wedding! Patricia picked a classic theme for their wedding day decor with the help of their wedding planner/stylist Amie Jackson. Amie not only set up and made sure things ran smoothly, but she looked after all of us. (That includes making sure we didn’t get locked out of the hotel during portraits!).
You may remember these two from their engagement session in the Greenbelt this fall. My first impression of these two was that they were gentle and kind. Both of them are so considerate! And their natures really shone through during their wedding day.
When I walked into their house while the girls were finishing getting ready, they were all taking great care of Patricia. Even though it was “her day,” every time I asked if she was okay with staying outside a little longer, she’d say “as long as the girls are okay.” It’s her nature to put others first, and she does it with such grace!
The guys got ready at Brookstreet, and when I showed up Kris was steady as usual, but you could tell he was excited to see Patricia! And from the moment she came down the aisle, I don’t think he took his eyes off her for long the whole night.
Kris and Patricia, thank you so much for asking me to capture your wedding memories. I hope you’re able to view this post before heading off to your tropical honeymoon! Have fun!
