Ah, the Haggarts! This cute family of four is soon to be a family of five! I first met Hannah and Pat photographing their maternity portraits for their first son, and enjoyed their very unique Harry Potter themed lifestyle newborn session. Since then, I’ve been privileged to have been invited back several times to take their family portraits in the Ottawa area.

These days both the Haggarts and I live in Barrhaven. I do a lot of location scouting around Ottawa, but the places most thoroughly explored are close by. And when I can offer my clients a great spot that’s convenient for them to get to and easy for children, I will always take it. Having clients that trust what I see is such a gift. This location was a simple little overgrown area on the side of a path that had some delicate wildflowers and great light. It was just a few steps away from a parking lot. Most people likely would been skeptical, but the Haggarts were great and jumped right in.

Their two little boys are full of energy and adorably cute. Hannah really did have an expectant glow and it was obvious how excited she and Pat were to be welcoming another child into the family. Boy or girl, that will be one lucky child!
