Aimee and Bailey got married on a hot summer day in what can only be described as a dream wedding. Not because the flowers were perfect (they were thanks to an amazing job by The Planted Arrow in Winchester), or the band was rockin’, but because it had been Aimee’s dream to get married on her family’s farm where she and Bailey work each day. Their farm wedding in North Stormont, Ontario transformed into the perfect place to gather the couple’s closest friends and family to celebrate the special day. I was honoured to be there!
They had their engagement session last fall with a country feel and carried on that theme with the wedding. Guests sat on hay covered by dozens of quilts, a huge tent was set up on the property to shelter guests from the sun, and even Aimee’s favourite cow made an appearance! You could tell that both bride and groom were a little nervous before the ceremony. But when Aimee came down the aisle she was beaming, and Bailey was overcome with emotion.
We had plenty of time for portraits throughout the day. And we managed to sneak away from the reception for some golden hour photos in the neighbouring wheat field. When I left, guests were dancing and laughing under a clear sky and warm Edison lights.
Aimee and Bailey, thank you for trusting me to document your wedding day! I hope you love you images and will cherish the memories for years to come.
