It was a gorgeous evening for Kelsey and Pat’s spring engagement photos at the Ottawa Arboretum. In May, the park boasts a ton of flowering trees, but the weather can be dicey, and this spring was a wet one, so I was happy they had great weather! Especially since they brought along their little boy, Riley. He was the happiest little baby, which they said was his norm. In fact, his nickname is Smiley Riley!

Pat and Kelsey have been a couple for about five years now, but watching them, you’d think they were still a new couple. They are comfortable together, and look at each other with so much love. And this is while being new parents! Riley is their pride and joy, and you can see why: he’s so happy and cuddly, and he looks around very intently.

They’re getting married later this summer in Chrysler on Kelsey’s family’s property. You know I love a country wedding! A few year’s ago I photographed Kelsey’s cousin Jake’s wedding to Tegan, and I hope to see some familiar faces.
