On a beautiful day in September, Maryn and Tyler celebrated their wedding at Tranquility Acres. Their Lodge is the perfect getting ready location, with a bright and spacious upstairs loft for the bridal party to do makeup and hair. Downstairs is a sprawling man-cave with a pool table, foosball, tasting room, and fireplace for the gents to suit up. Maryn was beaming the whole time, and you could tell she was excited and a little nervous. Her bridesmaids, mom, and soon-to-be mother-in-law stayed by her side and the whole place was buzzing with energy.
I first got to know Maryn and Tyler during their engagement portraits at the Ottawa Arboretum last year, and I was looking forward to seeing them with all their friends and family. In addition to their supportive parents, they had a large wedding party to stand by them. Tyler’s groomsmen had previous wedding experience and helped keep things moving along while making sure Tyler was enjoying the lead up to the ceremony.
The happy couple opted to forego a first look and see each other for the first time time coming down the aisle, and they were all smiles coming back down it together! The blue dresses and suits contrasted perfectly with the early fall foliage. And wow, was there a lot of foliage! The grounds of Tranquility Acres are gorgeously landscaped, especially the ceremony area which is nestled at the bottom of a slope.
During dinner, family and friends shared stories of how the happy couple met and how everyone knew this was a match that would last. There were tears and lot of laughs, and it was magical celebrating underneath strings of lights in the outdoor covered reception site before moving to a separate patio for the dancing.
Maryn and Tyler, thank you for choosing me to capture your wedding day. I hope you always look at each other the way you do now with such love!
