The Sherratts received a gift certificates from coworkers when they were expecting baby #2. I I know I’m a little biased, but I think pooling resourced together for an office gift like that is an awesome idea, especially when it’s not the first child and you don’t know what they need! Receiving a gift certificate is a great, low-pressure way of making sure that you get out there and document those early years when everything goes so quickly! My gift certificates cover the full session, including final images, so there are no extra costs for the recipient. If you’re interested in purchasing one as a gift, please let me know!
We headed to the Ottawa Arboretum over the May long weekend, which is normally peak time for flowers. This year spring has been so slow to get started, though! The weather was freezing (lI think it might have been around 10 degrees, tops!), but they were in good spirits and everyone bundled up as we walked from spot to spot.
For their first portrait session as a family of four, Allison and Paul requested that we go to the Ottawa Arboretum. The location was meaningful for them because they had their wedding photos taken there! It will be a sweet story to tell the kids when they’re older. We moved around the grounds and made sure to get a group image at one of the locations from their wedding that they really like.
Allison and Paul, it was a pleasure to meet you and your kids! Fingers crossed for warmer weather next year!
They have a wedding photo on this tree and wanted to recreate it!
