Nicole is my good friend, so I’m allowed to say she’s a little obsessed with everything fall, and Halloween in particular! She’s also a big fan of puns and other witty literary things, so I think she’d appreciate the self-restraint required to keep from calling the subtitle of this post Fall Family Photos at Foster’s Farm. That’s just too much alliteration, right?
She and Dan tied the knot in late October two years ago. They’ve since had a baby, and wanted to bring Laurel to the pumpkin patch for their first family portraits. We went to Foster’s Farm, which has a great selection of pumpkins every fall. The location was even more special because Nicole worked there part time while going to school.
It was a chilly (and windy!) morning, but the leaves were still at their peak. Laurel was feeling very serious that day. She’s obviously an old soul; when she looks at you it feels like she’s asking you to answer all the questions in the world. She’s got the biggest eyes and I secretly hope she loves reading as much as I do! I have the best book recommendations for her already.
Two years ago Dan and Nicole ventured into the rain for their wedding pictures. They wanted to recreate one of their favourite portraits – this time with the baby. After taking a short break to warm up, we finished their session in that exact spot. Right on cue, it started to rain! It was almost perfect.
Here we are, at the same location as some of their wedding pictures.
On the left is 2016, and on the right 2018!
