I was pretty excited when Chris and Megan wanted me to take their fall engagement photos in the Ottawa greenbelt! First of all, Megan is gorgeous. Secondly, Chris is actually my cousin, and ring or no ring, Megan has been family for a long time! She and Chris have been together about as long as Rob and I… which is about ten years! Megan has been around our family gatherings for years now, so these two getting married just feels right. And we couldn’t have asked for a better day in Ottawa to take their portraits.

Like most couples, they were a little nervous at first, which is why I really recommend doing an engagement session. You have time to get comfortable in front of the camera without any pressure of wearing a big white dress (or suit). And I think you’ll see that these two did an amazing job of relaxing, allowing me to get some amazing images that really show their love. They wanted to get as many fall leaves in as possible, so I took them to two locations that still had birch trees in all their yellow splendour.

Chris and Megan, congratulations again on your engagement. I can’t wait for the wedding!
