About two years ago I joined a book club. I’ve always been a voracious reader, and I did my undergraduate degree in English, which involved a lot of books. After studying, Rob and I moved to Korea where there wasn’t much to do except read. By the time I came back to Canada, I eased off a bit. But I found myself missing it, and needed a bit of a kick in the pants to get back into the habit of always having a book on hand. A former coworker introduced me into a book club, and I’ve happily been a member ever since!
People come and go from the group, but Rachelle has been there much longer than me. She and her husband Andrew have three kids, and every so often I see them peeking through the banister upstairs when they should be sleeping. I remember doing the same thing when I was a kid!
They opted to take their family photos right at the beginning of fall, which I always applaud. It still “feels” fall and it’s usually still nice and warm! We found a perfect spot right in their neighbourhood and headed out first thing in the morning. Rachelle is evidently a wardrobe wizard. She pulled these perfectly coordinated outfits together without doing any shopping. She might just have to hire out those magical powers. I’m sure there’s a market for it!
The kids were full of energy, as expected, but we got a shocking number of “everyone looking at the camera” photos for a family of five!
Rachelle and Andrew, I hope you and the kiddos like these photos and will laugh at them for years to come.
