The Cousineaus wanted some family portraits taken near downtown Ottawa. I suggested meeting at the Canadensis Gardens, which is across from the Experiemental Farm. I often cycle past there on my commute home, and the evening light is magical on a nice day! It’s also not my first time photographing there, though the weather was much better than this fall portrait session taken a few years ago!

This little family is expecting their second child any day now, and wanted to remember this special time through portraits. They already have an absolutely adorable little girl who loved having her picture taken. Of course, she got a lot of time to run around the grounds to burn off that never-ending kid energy!

We worked through a variety of poses and I am loving the final images from this family portrait session! Late summer is the best for portraits.
