Relationships are beautiful and complicated. They’re hard work sometimes and as natural as breathing other times. Jillian and Donny celebrated their marriage one year ago, and they wanted romantic anniversary pictures to commemorate the day. Their wedding was stunning, all rain and dark skies. But they wanted some sunshine for their anniversary photos! So we waited for a clear night and rescheduled several times during the rainy weeks of early July.

The weather was finally perfect and we headed to the Dominium Arboretum along with their pup. Jillian wore a white dress – very bridal! There was hardly anyone on the grounds and we had the place almost to ourselves. Jillian and Donny were happy to wander around with me, finding secret spots and chasing the sunset. They’re very photogenic, as is their fur baby.
