Samantha and Josh got married on a perfect day in September during a romantic farm wedding in Winchester, Ontario. They’ve been together for years and this day was a long time coming!
I first met the happy couple last winter, when we met in Kemptville for their winter engagement portraits. They brought along their pup, Murphy, who featured prominently at their wedding. He had his own drink and even custom cookies with his furry little face on them.
Samantha and her bridesmaids got ready at her sister’s house nearby, while Josh and his groomsmen took over the family farm. His parents did an amazing job with the landscaping, and everything looked amazing for the big day. They had market lights strung up and a beautifully decorated tent in the yard next to the ceremony set up.
When the ladies showed up, Samantha and Josh split apart to share a first look. Samantha couldn’t stop grinning in her excitement to see him, and Josh didn’t take his eyes off her once she turned around. They’d left plenty of time for portraits before their guests arrived, and we were able to do all of the wedding party portraits and immediate family portraits before the ceremony.
Their reception was full of laughter and poking fun at each other. The bridesmaids and groomsmen had one of the most organized entrances that I’ve seen yet, complete with dancing on the bar top and a synchronized trumpet parade.
When it got dark, the new bride and groom had their first dance outside under the market lights, and surprised their guests with a firework show to kick off the dancing.
