I met Allison and Tyler a few months ago to discuss what they were looking for in a wedding photographer. We sat across from each other munching on donuts and trying to keep warm with hot chocolate, and summer seemed so far away! They’re planning an outdoor ceremony, and I hope the weather is as beautiful as it was for their spring engagement portraits.

Allison is a nurse, and her caring nature is obvious in her ready smile and kind voice. She’s the type of person who will go without sleep to be there for loved ones when they need it. She’s gracious and adorable all at the same time, and she’s found her rock in Tyler. He’s equally kind, and he’s steady. While I’ve only known them for a short while, Tyler makes you feel calm. He seems to watch in awe as Allison brings energy all around her, but he brings his own energy – and it’s easy-going.

It’s pretty obvious from their engagement photos how much these two love each other. Allison’s pup made a star appearance as well, and he was such a good boy for a young country dog! While our location looks deserted, it’s right in the city and there was a lot going on! We managed to carve out our own space among the cherry blossoms. To drink up the last bit of sunset we found an open field that felt like we were in the country, and those images are some of my favourites!
