A couple weeks ago I headed out to Pinhey’s Point for a their Ottawa maternity portraits. Tara and Jason are expecting their first child – a boy! – any day now, and they are pretty excited. These two live out in the country, and Pinhey’s Point is nearby (not to mention photogenic). It’s pretty early in the summer, so we had the place to ourselves. If you’re interested in family portraits, I highly recommend Pinhey’s Point! It’s a great location for portraits because there is so much variety. We wandered from the old stone buildings to the manicured lawn, down to the bay and back up to farm fields for sunset.

Tara and Jason are both laid back and laugh easily. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know them, and I have no doubt their little guy will be giggling in no time!

The evening was perfect. Warm but not humid, with a gorgeous sunset. We timed the shoot perfectly… just wait until you see those last few photos!
