You know those kids you see that are polite, funny, well-behaved, incredibly cute, and full of charisma? The ones that make parenting look like pretty much the best thing ever? Yeah, those are the Giggey kids, and if you see them, tell them I say hello!

These two were great to photograph, and it wasn’t just their bright blue eyes that made the session so much fun. Their mom, Allison, is a middle school teacher and fellow UPEI English graduate. While the rugrats snacked in the back seat on the way to the beach, we caught up on life post university… and it was so hard to believe it’s been as long as it has!

The morning was hot and sunny — perfect beach weather. Toddlers and young children really make you work as a photographer. They’re not going to sit still and smile pretty for the camera, and getting two of them together in one shot is particularly challenging. But these guys were patient as I followed them around snapping pictures, and when the sun got too hot and their eyes hurt from squinting, we made our way to a shaded location under a bridge where a birds and boats brought out the cutest faces and contagious giggles.
