Nicole and Dan | Married A Colourful Ottawa Wedding at the Orange Art Gallery

Nicole and Dan got married on a blustery fall day in October at the Orange Art Gallery. They welcomed family into their home before the ceremony, and Nicole wore her grandmother’s wedding gown, worn before her by her mom and altered by the talented people at The Handmaid Bride. The flowers were done by her brother’s fiancée. And the day was bright, colourful and fun, surrounded by friends and loved ones, with bits of Halloween thrown in. All in all, it was a perfect representation of these two. And I was so honoured to be able to capture their day.

I met Elisha and Jonathan last winter. We sat down with a hot beverage on a freezing cold evening and after the initial hand shakes and nice to meet you’s I asked them if they lived in Ottawa. With a short laugh they said “No…. we actually live in Australia.” And that was all it took, really. I liked them from the get-go. But these two are the type of couple that get more and more likeable as you get to know them, which is impressive because they make a great first impression.

Megan and Jonathan | Married A Classic Fall Wedding in Crysler, North Stormont

I drove through a small blizzard to get to Megan and Jonathan’s house on their wedding day, but I didn’t tell the bride that (sorry Megan!). There was no need – despite a dismal forecast and pockets of snow, October 17th turned out to be a great day in Chrysler, even though it was a little chilly for the time of year! Their day was full of people who love them. From the wedding party who welcomed me into the fold (and the hunt camp!) with open arms, to the guests who belly laughed through the speeches and tore it up on the dance floor, it was obvious that Megan and Jonathan are surrounded by great family and friends.
